Nami was the second puppy born in our first litter, and our keeper. She is an extremely intelligent, fast learning puppy who enjoys the company of anyone and everyone. She is biddable and driven, though unlike most Kai, she is more 'fight' than 'flight'.  Nami is extremely sociable with people but less so with other dogs. She enjoys her job as a breed ambassador for the Kai Ken.

• At the Japanspesialen 2023 in Norway, Nami began her showing career under judges Mr. John Aareskjold Tjøtta, Mr. Yuichi Tomimoto and Mr. Satoshi Bessho, where she came second place in her three puppy classes. Her critiques can be read below.

• Nami was the first female Kai Ken to be born in the UK!
• Nami has already began a career in dog sports, starting with Mantrailing.
• Nami was the first Kai Ken to be registered as a Kai Ken under The Kennel Club's Activity Register. Her addition meant Akiko's breed could be corrected from a crossbreed to Kai Ken too.
• Nami is the second Kai Ken to attend Crufts, after her dam Akiko.
• Nami is the fourteenth Kai Ken to achieve a CHIC number with the OFA.
